Keeping the kids creative

The weather may be wet outside, but April showers are not dampening the enthusiasm of children taking part in St. Enoch Centre’s Easter activities!
Imaginations are running wild here as kids have been creating trains, cars, houses, superheroes and even Minions from Lego.
We’ve got a jam-packed schedule to keep kids busy during the Easter holidays including daily Lego-building masterclasses Bricks 4 Kidz. Bring your little one along to join in the fun at sessions running from 11am-3pm every day until 15th April.
The workshops are FREE and offer young people the chance to learn, create and explore using the iconic bricks and allowing them to design and build their own inventions.

Nine-year-old Luke Forbes travelled with his family all the way from Perth to take part in the fun! His creativity led him to build a pagoda-style house, and a very nice one at that.
Kyle Richmond, six, from Coatbridge, built the Incredible Hulk, and Little Georgia Roberts, three, from Bearsden, built an entire Lego village – the possibilities are endless!

Wee ones at the Centre have also been busy drawing and colouring characters from Disney’s latest smash-hit, Zootropolis. These sessions are also on daily from 11am-3pm until April 15th.
A few familiar faces will be popping in to say hello over the holidays too. Everyone’s favourite app characters Angry Birds will be visiting on Wednesday 13th April and family favourite Postman Pat on Sunday 17th April.

Fancy yourself as a bit of a speed demon? Then Hamleys is the place to be. Shoppers are being given the chance to take part in the Hamleys Pit Stop Challenge. Lucky participants will receive their very own Racer License which they will then use to zoom around set stations collecting stickers while competing to gain top place in the Wall Rider Time leader board.
Each participant will be invited to take a lap round the toy shop before finishing off with a photo on Hamleys champion’s podium where they will be awarded a gold medal to keep.
Elsewhere there is free face painting and balloon modelling. The Centre really is a hive of creativity this week! And of course, it wouldn’t be Easter without chocolate and chocolate lollies will be provided to fuel busy families.
Anne Ledgerwood, General Manager of St. Enoch Centre, said: “The weather has been a damp squib over the last few days, but the Easter fun is in full swing here at St. Enoch Centre.
There’s lots on for all of the family at St. Enoch Centre this week so come on down and say hello and try your hand at something new!
