Celebrate Glasgow’s festive glow-up on 20 November

Get ready for Glasgow’s illuminating light trail, adding a touch of sparkle to the city centre this Christmas holiday.

Launching on 20 November, the festive light trail runs every day from 4pm until 3 January, with enchanting installations and twinkling decorations brightening up the city centre, including our very own Buck’s Head Building on Argyle Street.

Talented local artists created five glittering light installations that will come to life as people wander through the city centre with family and friends, following the glow.

Jamie Wardrop’s Let Glasgow Flourish playful installation will be projected inside five windows of the historic Buck’s Head Building on Argyle Street. This animated visual sequence celebrates Glasgow’s natural life with colourful birds and festive evergreens of ivy, pine, and holly. Drawing on the ancient symbols of the city, the bird and the tree, Jamie reconnects these icons of Glasgow’s past with its future as the city marks its 850th anniversary.

St. Enoch Centre is taking part in the launch celebrations, with Santa and his merry elves spreading festive cheer throughout the Centre and creating memorable moments for families to enjoy.

PLUS, we’ll be joined by the cast of this year’s SEC pantomime, Cinderella, including TikTok stars @LynseyandFiona, to hold a magical meet and greet, snap some selfies, and get into the panto spirit.

Visit St. Enoch Centre on Thursday 20 November from 4:30pm to kickstart the festivities with your favourite Christmas characters!!

While you’re here, why not take a photo of St. Enoch Centre’s festive decorations?! You could win £250 to spend in the Centre this December. Find out more about our competition here.
