Job Purpose Summary:

  • To efficiently assist in the management of all store operations to achieve targeted sales, excellent customer service & the effective management and development of your team.
  • To support the Store Manager assuming their responsibilities in their absence.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • To improve business performance and hit objectives/KPIs.
  • To ensure your team deliver consistently in “Trading The Hamleys Way” (TTHW).
  • To drive, deliver and develop exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain regular and pro-active communication with key stakeholders ensuring all retail principles, store layouts, recruitment/training of team members and the overall brand proposition meet the required brand standards.
  • Contribute to the implementation and management of promotions.
  • To actively support the recruitment, induction, development and retention of your team.
  • To assist the Store Manager in operating within set budgets and helping to control all costs/losses.
  • To ensure adherence to all employee policies and procedures.
  • To interpret the stores performance via the use of commercial reports, to aid decision making.
