The nights are getting brighter, the sun is starting to shine and it’s finally tulip season again. Spring is well and truly on its way and it’s only a few weeks until Easter weekend! This week I’ve been shopping in St. Enoch Centre, looking for a few homeware pieces to get my house ready for the new season and for Easter.

Nothing brightens up a room like fresh flowers and I absolutely love how they look in this glass pitcher from the Holly Willoughby collection from BHS. The whole collection is absolutely beautiful and one that I hadn’t actually heard about until I saw it on display – it’s exactly the minimal, modern and neutral style that I love. I picked up this wooden table cloche lamp from the collection too. It’s so unique and I love the copper detailing on the fairy lights.

Decorating the dining table is one of my favourite things and when I spotted this cake stand (also from Holly’s collection), I had instant visions of a beautiful at-home afternoon tea display! Easter weekend always brings a lot of visitors to our house and I love the idea of having some sweet treats on the table. This two tier cake stand is gorgeous and excellent value for money – I couldn’t believe the price! Of course you can’t have cake without tea so I also picked up this Jasper Conran grey and white teapot from Debenhams. It’s gorgeous isn’t it?

It’s not Easter without chocolate eggs of course so my last stop had to be the famous Hotel Chocolat. They have some lovely little mini bags of eggs which would make lovely gifts for friends or family. I picked up a bag of the milk chocolate ‘egglets’ and I think it looks so cute to have a little jar with sweets on the table.
